I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
